MEET THE SCHOOL OWNER INSTRUCTORS

Deputy Master Girish Shah (Right) is an International Instructor, Chief Instructor and School owner of Edgware Choi Kwang Do:

"I started training Choi Kwang Do in 2005, at the age of 43, after having suffered a heart attack at the age of 40. Choi Kwang Do was a way for me to improve my physical fitness. I met Grand Master Choi at a seminar in the UK and immediately saw the benefits of Choi Kwang Do. The journey from White Belt to Black Belt was most rewarding, as along the way I have made many friends who I proudly call my CKD family. Attending a seminar in France where Master Sacchin tested for his Black Belt is one of the highlights of my CKD journey so far. I was determined to attain the rank of Black Belt, which I did in 2007. I have had the honour of training at CKD Headquarters in Atlanta, USA, and seen my son achieve his 4th Dan (Deputy Master) rank in South Korea. I also accomplished my goal of achieving the rank of Deputy Master in March 2021. The journey has only just begun, and there is so much more to achieve."

Master Sacchin Shah (Left) is an International Instructor and Chief Instructor of Edgware Choi Kwang Do:

"I began training Choi Kwang Do at the age of 5 (in 2002) at Wembley Choi Kwang Do with my instructor Senior Master Keith Banfield. I progressed through the ranks, and was promoted to a Leadership Student. I graded for my 1st Dan Black Belt in France in 2006. I continued my training along with my studies and was eventually promoted to an Assistant Instructor at the age of 13. I privately graded in front of Grandmaster Choi for my 4th Dan Black Belt in South Korea in 2015 just after being promoted to Head Instructor. After graduating from university, I joined Edgware Choi Kwang Do as a Chief Instructor. In March 2021, I was promoted to the youngest Master in Choi Kwang Do."
